K.O. and the Cashtime Life crew

After teaming up with M.anifest in “No Shortcut to Heaven,” the two rap heavyweights combine forces again in Obrafour’s “Odasani.” Odasani is an Akan word meaning human being. The video shows the two rappers, among others, who are imprisoned and made to fight one another to the death for the pleasure of the king (actor John Dumelo).Obrafour and M.anifest execute thought provoking punchlines through Twi proverbs , advising listeners to work together cooperatively to affect sincere change. At the end of the video, the fighters defeat the king. In light of the erratic and ongoing power cuts in Ghana, this video is right on time.

The funeral mixes a goth fashion show, a rainbow of lipstick colors, smoking sessions, and selfies with the corpse. “Chain Gang” is featured on Umlilo’s upcoming Aluta EP.

Video Title: TELEMO

Ga music maker and King of Azonto, Gasmilla, has finally dropped a video for the popular single “Telemo,” featuring Capasta. Among other scenes (including booty-shaking Ghana policemen), the video was shot in the Salaga Market, a former transatlantic enslaved industry site in James Town. The video was also directed by Gasmilla.

Video Title: P3p33p3 FT. MUGEEZ

Criss Waddle is the guy who waits until the end of the year to debut new music. The “Ayi” music maker has released a video for his latest single “P3p33p3,” a Twi word that means “exact.” The song features singer Mugeez of R2bees (who along with the infectious beat makes this a notable track). The video takes shape in a rural area where Mugeez and Waddle fight to win the hand of a young woman, i.e Ahuofe Patri, (who has become a household name through the web series, Boys Kasa).
