Chale Wote 2015: Call for Interns

ACCRA [dot] ALT, the producers of the CHALE WOTE Street Art Festival, is looking for interns for a month-long program assisting with production of the fifth edition of the free, four-day festival. 

Interns completing the program will receive a certificate for their contributions towards the production of the festival as well as an official letter of appreciation from the directors.

 

Interns are needed for the following areas:

 Logistics + Production

Exhibits + Interventions

Film/Talk Festival

Children’s Festival

Artist Relations

Performance Management

Marketing + Media

Information Booth/Tours

Vendor Coordination

Fashion Show

Public Painting Zones

 

If you are interested in applying, email your CV, the first and second choice of preferred work area and a 1-page statement about what you hope to learn through this internship. The deadline is Monday, July 27, 2015.  

Selected applicants will be notified and must be prepared to begin service on Sunday, August 2nd. The internship will end on Sunday, August 30th, following the festival. Interns must be available to work on weekends and some weekdays, as needed. Interns will be required to work either Saturday, August 22nd or Sunday, August 23rd of the festival (both days is not an option).

 

Interns’ residences should be a reasonable distance from James Town, the base for the internship, and therefore able to reach the area in an efficient amount of time.
