Wogb3 J3k3: The Birth of a Nation

The National Theatre of Ghana will go supernova for two hours, with electric excitement when the Key Soap sponsored Heritage Theatre Series debuts its production, Wogbɛ Jɛkɛ: The Birth of A Nation.

The music, dance and drama spectacle will reenact Ghana’s lush history from pre-colonial times through to independence. A great show of culture and history and tributes to Ghana’s heroes, Ndewura Jakpa, Yaa Asantewaa, Agokoli, Kwame Nkrumah among many others will be made.

The play is written and produced by renowned spoken word poet and creative, Chief Moomen, directed by playwright, Anima Misa Amoah, choreographed by international dance acts, Sena Atsuga and Baffour Awuah of Choreomundus International, Norway and supported by a technical team of professionals from the School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana.

Tickets are selling for 50ghc and 30ghc for children for 4pm shows only and can be purchased at Osu Koala, Batsoona Total, National Theatre and Silver Bird Cinema.

The play runs at 4pm and 8pm each day.
