Since 2010, The Talk Party Series has been a free monthly platform that brings together creative professionals, social entrepreneurs, bloggers, artists, students and organizations to share ideas about life in the African city and to create projects that transform communities through interactive, public art.
We’ve created Sabolai Radio and the CHALE WOTE Street Art Festival through discussions at Talk Party. By designing innovative, high impact projects together, we also generate possible solutions to critical issues facing Ghanaians.
These matters range from the lack of an effective infrastructure to sustain Ghana’s art and culture industries to the hostility lesbian and gay people face in their communities to exploring women’s sexuality to investigating religious fundamentalism in Ghana to evaluating sampling and copyright protection in the global media industry.
Our Talk Party usually consists of a film screening, live discussion, interactive music performances, and a DJ and networking set over food and drinks.
