THE DAY OF REMEMBERING highlights the complex
history of James Town and its central importance to the
making of Accra, Ghana as a nation and the development
of the African diaspora across the world.
On the Day of Remembering we recenter the history of the
enslaved, many of who walked through the alleyways of
Jamestown to ships on the shores, propelled into an
unknown and torturous fate.
