Nii Okai through his work, gives a glimpse into the unbridled emotions and inhibited movements of Accra’s youth, the true carriers of the city’s heartbeat. As they dance, their movements are ignited by the musical vibrations , telling stories of joy, freedom, and the cultural significance of music in our society.
Nii Okai who is a Ghanaian-Australian Photographer who got inspired by the children’s energetic dances at After Parties Gasmilla organised for the children in his neighbourhood after his “Fale Fale” Clean-up programs.
Sean therefore decided to organise similar parties for young children to dance their hearts away. His Lab also seeks to emphasis how Afrobeat is coming from Ghana, and many vibrational music.
